Acceptable Use and Prohibited Products Policy

This policy applies to everyone using ClocheVerse. It forms part of the Terms of Service. Breaching it may lead to content removal, loss of verification, suspension or termination.

1. Prohibited conduct

• Impersonating another business, using a company name or brand you are not authorised to use, or submitting false or altered verification documents.
• Posting listings, prices, stock or lead times that you know to be inaccurate or unavailable.
• Manipulating reviews, ratings, recommendations or follower counts, including self-reviews, incentivised reviews and reviews for transactions that did not happen.
• Moving payment for a marketplace transaction off-platform to avoid fees or protections, when the introduction was made through ClocheVerse.
• Harassment, threats, discrimination, hate speech or sexual content in messages, listings, profiles or files.
• Scraping, crawling, bulk data extraction, reverse engineering, load testing, credential stuffing, bypassing access controls or probing our infrastructure without written authorisation.
• Uploading malware, or using the Platform to send spam, phishing or unsolicited bulk marketing.
• Publishing personal data of third parties (guests, employees, customers) without a lawful basis, and misusing contact details obtained through a transaction for unrelated marketing.
• Infringing intellectual property — copying photos, catalogues, descriptions or trademarks that are not yours.
• Undeclared work: engaging staff without the required contracts, registrations, insurance and social declarations required in the country of performance.

2. Prohibited and restricted products

The following may not be listed on ClocheVerse:

• Weapons, ammunition, explosives, and items designed to injure.
• Illegal drugs, precursors and drug paraphernalia.
• Counterfeit or replica goods, and goods with removed or altered brand identifiers.
• Stolen goods, and goods subject to sanctions, embargoes or export restrictions.
• Live animals, protected species and products covered by CITES.
• Human tissue or bodily fluids.
• Prescription medicines, medical devices and veterinary medicines without the required authorisations.
• Tobacco, nicotine products, cannabinoids and vaping products where the seller lacks the licences required in the destination country.
• Food, beverages, food-contact materials, cosmetics and chemicals that do not meet the labelling, traceability, allergen, hygiene and safety rules of the destination country.
• Non-compliant electrical goods, gas appliances or pressure equipment (no CE/UKCA marking or documentation where required).
• Recalled goods, expired stock and goods sold beyond their use-by date.
• Adult content and services, gambling services, and financial or crypto investment offers.
• Personal data sets, contact databases and lead lists.
• Fake documents, certificates, credentials or reviews-as-a-service.

Restricted with proof: alcohol, fresh and frozen food of animal origin, knives and professional blades, industrial cleaning chemicals, refrigerant gases, and any category needing a licence, health approval number, HACCP documentation or age verification. These may be listed only where the seller holds and, on request, provides the relevant authorisation, and only to destinations it is licensed to supply.

3. Services and staff

• Services requiring a licence, diploma or registration (security, health-related services, alcohol service, food handling, electrical or gas work) may only be offered by providers holding them.
• Providers must not present unqualified staff as qualified, or subcontract to unvetted third parties without telling the buyer.
• Availability must be genuine; repeatedly accepting and then cancelling bookings is a breach of this policy.
• Buyers must provide a lawful, safe working environment and the working conditions described in the booking.

4. Content standards

• Use your own photos or images you are licensed to use; do not add competitor logos or misleading certification marks.
• Keep listings in the correct category and do not stuff titles with unrelated keywords.
• Prices must be complete and transparent: state currency, unit, minimum order quantity and whether taxes and shipping are included.

5. Reporting and enforcement

Report a breach through Help & Support or by email to legal@clocheverse.com, with the URL and a description. Depending on severity and repetition we may: ask for clarification or documents, hide or delete a listing, remove verification, limit features, hold a payout while we investigate, suspend the account, or terminate it. Serious cases (safety, counterfeiting, fraud, undeclared work) may be reported to the competent authorities. We notify the account holder of the measure and its reason, unless the law prevents it, and you may contest a decision by replying to the notice.
